Debt collection awards shortlist announced - 12/10/2009

The shortlist for the 2009 Debt Collection Awards is today unveiled by Credit Today. The awards ceremony takes place on 19 November at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Warwickshire, and is hosted by comedian Dominic Holland (pictured) and Alan Dedicoat. More than 350 credit professionals will attend the event, with the standard of entries particularly high this year.

The scheme is in its third year and has three new categories: enforcement team of the year; compliance team of the year and debt collection agency manager of the year. The awards are judged by a panel of industry experts and continue to set the benchmark for best practice and professional excellence in the collections sector.

Chair of the judging panel Virgin Media's head of debt management Steve Wrench said: "The quality of entries in all categories this year has once again been outstanding. At the final judging we will have a difficult task as so many entries are of a very high standard, readily demonstrating a pride, passion and commitment to excellence in the industry".
