Online news: Bridgman Group invests in CW Harrison 31 January 2012

The Bridgman group, parent company of enforcement firm Marston Group, has made an investment in the High Court enforcement arm of CW Harrison & Son.

The deal sees the High Court business of CW Harrison & Son transferred to a separate limited company, CW Harrison & Co High Court Enforcement Limited, which will trade as Harrison High Court Enforcement.

It also sees Bridgman Group increase the number of writs on its books by around 10%.

Both Marston Group and Harrison High Court Enforcement will continue to run as separate brands with separate management teams, though both firms will benefit from each other’s services.

Harrison High Court Enforcement will benefit from factors such as a free transfer-up service, free tracing and online access for clients to review their cases.

Meanwhile, Bridgman Group gains a stronger regional presence in Yorkshire and shares a percentage of profits generated by Harrison High Court Enforcement on an annual basis.

Dion Harrison, director of CW Harrison, will continue to receive writs in his name and becomes the senior Board member of the new company.

Andrew Bradley will oversee the day-to-day operations of Harrison High Court Enforcement, which will continue to operate from its headquarters in Ossett, West Yorkshire.

The firm also intends to introduce BACS payments for clients imminently, as well as further payment methods for debtors.
