The winners of the Credit Today Utilities and Telecoms Awards 2011 have been revealed at an awards ceremony in Blackpool.
Following the Utilities and Telecoms conferences, representatives of the sectors gathered at the Hilton Blackpool last week to hear the results of the inaugural awards ceremony.
The Utilities and Telecoms Awards 2011 were launched following years of consistently high-quality entries in these sectors for the main Credit Today Awards in May.
The Utilities and Telecoms Awards champion best practice in water, power and telecoms credit, recognising the unique challenges faced by these sectors in dealing with debtors.
Credit Today’s shortlisting panel received a high level of entries that were whittled down to 25 finalists across the six categories. Chaired by Henry Mehta, head of customer care and collections at Veolia Water Outsourcing, the panel had a tough job choosing the winners.
On the night comedian Ian Moore entertained the guests, after which they networked and danced until the early hours.
